The Moscow Halal Expo organizers are going to participate in the international MIHAS exhibition of halal products. The exhibition will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 5-8 April 2017.

MIHAS is one of the biggest exhibition in the area of halal products, which will be held for the 14th time. It is organized by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE). Every year the exhibition brings together 539 companies from 39 countries and 22,000 buyers from 70 countries. This year MIHAS will focus on the sectors of food products, pharmaceutical products and cosmetics, and will offer new events to its visitors and participants.

At the moment Malaysia can rightfully be considered as one of the main hubs of halal market development. This is where the exhibitions related to halal products were held for the first time, and only later was this initiative taken up by Russia, Netherlands, Turkey and other countries. Besides, Malaysia has a well-thought-out standardization system, and accreditation from the JAKIM state institution is considered prestigious for any certifying body. Apart from the traditional World Halal Conference, a convention of certification centres will also take place within the framework of MIHAS 2017.

Kirill Skogorev, director of Moscow Halal Expo, noted that the main objective of the visit was to examine the Malaysian market and to get assistance regarding the promotion of Russian products. At the Moscow Halal Expo booth (C129-130) the MIHAS 2017 participants will be able to see Russian brands, to form business contacts, to share experience and to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.

It should be mentioned that Malaysian companies take part in Moscow Halal Expo every year. In 2017 more large-scale participation is expected, which will later be announced by the press relations service of the Exhibition.
