The international Gulfood exhibition offering a wide range of halal food products to its visitor is taking place in Dubai. During this event the Dubai Industrial City company, which is a part of the Tecom Investments holding, organized a unique zone called “Halal cluster”. It will occupy an area of almost 7 mln sq.feet and will showcase the products of over 15 producers from the GCC countries and other countries. The cluster was made with participation of such organizations as the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre, Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology and Dubai municipal administration.
According to the director of the Dubai Industrial City company, Abdullah Belal, the cluster concept was developed on the basis of Dubai’s modern status of the main hub of Islamic business. This exhibition sector presents the whole range of goods and products related to production and distribution of halal products manufactured by companies working in different industries. The cluster represents all sectors of Islamic economy, including halal food production, financial institutions, insurance organizations and a lot more.
