On 2-5 June 2016 the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre hosted the Moscow Halal Expo exhibition for the 7th time. This annual event presents to its visitors a large variety of products complying with the halal standards. In 2016 the exhibition attracted over 200 organizations from 20 countries and 25 Russian regions. Foreign delegations from 40 countries and honoured guests also attended the event.

The exhibition visitors and participants appreciated the increased scale of the event, noticing high-level arrangements and variety of expositions. The guests demonstrated a great interest in the eventful business programme devoted to the challenges and prospects of the halal market development, including the topical issue of investment attraction.

Rushan Abbyasov, chairman of the organizing committee, noted that Moscow Halal Expo transformed from a purely social and cultural event into a modern business platform attracting more and more market players.

Over the 7 years of the exhibition’s existence the halal products output has increased in Russia by several times. Local companies have started to develop foreign markets by exporting their products to the countries like Egypt, Iran and UAE. The increase in demand for halal products can be attributed to the fact that these products are manufactured with observance of the highest quality and security standards.

This is why the Moscow Halal Expo exhibition becomes even more high-profile year by year, focusing on encouraging the Russian halal products export and capturing a significant share of the global market in this segment.
